All startups taking part in the competition must submit a 3 min investor pitch video to GITEX Future Stars Team within 15 days of their registration.
We limit each pitch to 3 minutes, which keeps the message simple, focused, and straightforward. While we want our entrepreneurs to make their presentations unique to their business, we do give them some guidance on things that have worked for startups presenting to our investors in the past.
Here’s the guide we give to startups on what info they should include in their 3 minute pitch:
1.Give a high-level summary of what your company does
2.What is the problem you are looking to solve and why should your audience care?
3.What is the size of your market?
4.What is the size of your team ?
5.What do your customers need and why?
6.What is your sales and distribution model?
7.What are you trying to accomplish?
8.How much are you looking to raise?
9.What will you use your money on?
Startup pitches will be screened by a jury of 10 international venture capital investors. Each investor scores the startups on a scale of 0-5 based on the information the startup has provided in the video pitch. Jury will calculate scores and select 50 startups to pitch onsite at GITEX Future Stars and compete for prize awards totaling US$160,000.
The startups selected to pitch onsite at GITEX Supernova Challenge will be informed directly by September 10th at the latest, and the selected startup videos will also be published on the GITEX Future Stars. The startups that do not get selected are also informed by the aforementioned date.
