Blockchain is been developed as a tool for  combating healthcare fraud and abuse such as detecting falsified and substandard drugs in distribution, using a chain of custody blockchain for monitoring illegal online activity with machine learning, and an off chain - on chain storage project for healthcare data management. Blockchain is also been used to combat healthcare corruption by using e-procurement systems in conjunction with blockchain.
