  • Facebook might be cooking up an advanced modular device which features a phone, a speaker, GPS support, a touch display, and a microphone, as per a recent patent application. Modular hardware allows users to swap out different pieces to enable functions like a camera or a battery pack.

  • Online video viewing will rise 20 per cent in 2017, according to Zenith’s Online Video Forecasts 2017. Global consumers will spend an average of 47.4 minutes a day viewing videos online this year, up from 39.6 minutes in 2016. This increase will be driven by a 35 per cent increase in viewing on mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) to 28.8 minutes a day, while viewing on fixed devices (desktop PCs, laptops and smart TVs) will rise by just 2 per cent to 18.6 minutes a day.

They use it to define the direction of their business and if their internal work culture is empowering enough for employees to innovate or think of growth ideas. So for most startups, scaling up to the next phase of growth is clearly linked to Innovation in practices, ideas, products, technology and people!

  • One of the virtues which are highly regarded in the startup ecosystem is innovation and creativity. Everyone looks up to original thinkers and we want our students to come up with brilliant new ideas so that they can translate them into successful businesses.

     

    Even our PM exhorts our youth to “think out of the box.” Yes, this is a cool aspiration, which is why Steve Jobs is an icon who continues to inspire the next generation. These are the success stories which we talk about in our classrooms and this is why books which teach you how to be more creative sell like hot cakes on Amazon.
