Chris has over 10 years’ experience setting up and running businesses. He exited his last major business, an FCA-regulated online brokerage with 60 staff in 12 countries, in 2010. His role at Eureeca enables him to meet and support 100s of start-up and growth company founders from around the world who approach the platform to raise growth capital.
Before Co-Founding Eureeca; the first globally regulated Equity Crowdfunding platform (operating across 3 continents) that democratises the investment process by allowing “the crowd” to, alongside angel and institutional investors, invest in and become shareholders of exciting businesses, Chris has been building business since his early 20s, mainly in the fintech space. Due to success in bringing a number of businesses to exit during his career, he has also been an active investor in early and growth-stage businesses, providing both start-up and growth capital combined with support and advice to help his portfolio companies expand, scale and grow.
Chris is also a mentor working with a number of entrepreneurs directly, and also participating with larger organisations to mentor and support entrepreneurs in their business development and fund raising strategies. Recent mentoring and education support programs have included Global Business Forum Africa and Hult International Business School’s MBA Entrepreneurship Course.
Chris speaks publicly, both via media interviews and regular panel/keynote speaking engagements regarding the financial markets, start up financing and the entrepreneurship space generally, and provides various lectures and workshops on his areas of expertise.
Chris is British, initially studying to be a lawyer before getting seduced by the financial markets and then evolving a career as a FinTech Entrepreneur.
