Dr. Christoph Nedopil Wang
Leading researcher on the impact of transport and energy from China’s Silk road initiative. Former entrepreneur that launched the first ride-hailing app in Germany long before Uber.
Dr. Christoph Nedopil Wang is the Director of the Green Belt and Road Initiative（BRI） and Senior Research Fellow at the International Institute of Green Finance （IIGF）of the Central University of Finance and Economics（CUFE）in Beijing, China. Christoph holds a master of engineering from the Technical University Berlin, a master of public administration from Harvard Kennedy School as well as a PhD in Economics. He has extensive experience in sustainability, innovation, infrastructure and transport having worked for the International Finance Corporation（IFC）for almost 10 years and being a Director for the Sino-German Sustainable Transport Project with the German Cooperation Agency GIZ in Beijing. He is the author of articles and several book, such as IFC`s “Navigating through Crises” or “Corporate Governance – Handbook for Board Directors”. Christoph is interested in innovative solution to tackle climate change and environmental protection.
