Eleni Kitra is the Regional Head of Automotive at Facebook, where she leads Strategic Business Development for Automotive and Automotive as a Service for the MENA region, for all of Facebook’s family of apps including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger. During her years at Facebook, Eleni has also lead the Strategic Business Development for Financial Services, Global Agencies and a number of global and regional advertisers from across all business verticals
Eleni has over 2 decades’ experience in Strategic Business Management, Business Development and Marketing roles in global companies. Prior to Facebook Eleni has worked as the MD for OMD Digital for Omicom Media Group an American global media, marketing and corporate communications holding company, the Commercial Manager for Multichoice, as well as the Head of Sales and Marketing for Sony Playstation and in 2007 she co-founded Spirit Up, a Digital Creative Agency.
Eleni has been a founding and board member of Digital Industry associations (IAB, EEDE), has been President and Jury member of Digital Awards along the years, and she has been awarded multiple times for her work in Digital & Social Media. She is a global leader in supporting women in Tech, spearheading women@leadership for Facebook EMEA, she has launched the #startyourengines initiative in KSA, she is the founder of Women@Auto MENA, and she is a passionate mentor and gender equality ambassador. She is a founding member of the UAE Chapter of Unstereotype Gender, she has been a member of various Women in Business and Technology associations. Eleni is passionate about Culture, People development, D&I and she is leading the Culture and People agenda for Facebook MENA to build a culture of trust, belonging and of high performance. She is interested in Start-ups Culture and she is co-chairing the Intrapreneurs Dubai Chapter in Dubai capital Club. She is a frequent speaker and presenter at regional and international conferences, forums and associations on a wide variety of digital innovation and business transformation, people and culture, and regional development topics.
