Iain is Executive Principal of Taaleem’s award winning Raha International School, a two-campus, IB school in Abu Dhabi with over 2,500 students, rated ‘Outstanding’ by ADEK. He also has an active leading executive role for the development of Taaleem’s other three IB schools and acts as a mentor for senior leaders.
After beginning his teaching career in England, Iain has lived in the Middle East, Asia and Central Europe and has over 20 years’ experience of 3-18 international school leadership. He has led schools in Libya and Thailand and has held senior positions in schools in Bahrain and Jordan.
Prior to moving to Abu Dhabi, he was European Early Years Project Director for The British Council, setting up bilingual kindergartens across the EU. He also consulted on various education projects, which have involved school strategy, start-up, expansion and improvement projects in the UK, North Africa, Middle East, Asia and across Europe.
Iain is a qualified inspector and founder and trustee of North West Academies Trust, a UK company which operates six academies in England.
