Miko Olkkonen is Head of eSite, a new exiting start up at Fortum, the leading energy company in the Nordic Europe. Miko has 20+ years of experience from industry and international construction projects (Energy, Pulp & Paper and other heavy industry). For the past five years Miko has worked to answer the question: “What is digitalisation and how can it improve the operational excellence and safety at power plants?” During this time Fortum has succeeded in transforming newest “hyped” technologies like Virtual Reality into practical applications that are easy to take into use by plant personnel, that deliver real value during the transition towards the power plant operations of the future.
Through his long experience in industry and his latest work in leading the eSite start-up, Miko can paint a very compelling and tangible picture of the future way of working at power plants and industry. eSite provides future industrial grade Virtual Reality solutions that work already today.
