Ryan Den Rooijen
Ryan Den Rooijen has joined Chalhoub Group as Group head of data and analytics in charge of leading the data transformation stream with a goal to make using analytics as natural to the organization as using the Internet. Ryan has previously worked at Dyson and Google; he has been recognized for exceptional achievements and he brings a wealth of knowledge in the tech industry.
While at Dyson, Ryan has built and led Dyson's Global Data Services organization, working on transforming the company’s analytical capabilities from manufacturing to marketing. In the span of less than 2 years, his team grew from 8 people to more than 70 people delivering value through data across manufacturing, supply chain, planning and marketing.
Ryan spent four and a half years at Google, where he helped turning big data into big insights for international brands, he introduced their global sales analyst skills curriculum where he managed global analytical initiatives aimed at driving revenue and relationships. Ryan completed an MSc in Social Science of the Internet at the University of Oxford.
He is now an advisory board chair of MSc/DPhil in Social Data Science contributing to the development of the Oxford Internet Institute’s newest degrees. DataIQ repeatedly named him one of the most influential people in data-driven business. Most of his work involves the practical application of analytics and AI – impact, not buzzwords. In line with the Chalhoub Group strategic transformation plans, Ryan’s mission will be instrumental to operationalize analytics & AI capabilities, and to develop data products for the Group and its trusted partners.
